2/28/2005 09:58:00 PM|W|P|FF|W|P|A very fickle feline has decided to take a 2 week break starting tomorrow, instead of closing it down. For 2 whole weeks, I'll keep all my thoughts to myself, which will probably be very difficult. And if you see me on the street twitching, look away politely - it's just blogging withdrawal symptoms. I'll blog in my private blog now and then... you know the password. Forgive me for being so fickle? I cannot imagine life without my blog and you guys. Amazing what a pint of Heineken can do for your soul. So, the whole point of my hiatus is not because I'm hurt by the things said during the last few days. If you had noticed, for every bad apple, there were 20 good. I think those are pretty good statistics yes? And I cannot believe how supportive you were, even more so than some of my real life friends. Thanks for all your emails and smses! Kisses to all of you! Oops, I take that back, sekali people say I'm slutty because I freely give away my kisses. Huh, see! I can make jokes about my situation. At many points in my life, I have learnt about life through experiences. What did I learn this time? I still stand by what I believe, I'm not afraid to say what I think and I must learn not to care what other people think. The person who inspired this hiatus, I trusted you hence my openness towards you. I thank you for teaching me a great lesson about not trusting someone too easily. These are things I'd never learn in a lecture theatre. And thank you for being a complete wuss today. My back has healed completely! So off to the gym I go tomorrow for kickboxing! And now, I leave you with an email from Mr. Fansy. Dear FF, How are you doing darling? I know you don't want to answer my calls, but I miss your voice. Please don't be angry. Be happy ok so that very soon you will start answering my calls again. May you have a lot of joy in your life!!!! I will call you soon!!! Firm reliance on the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing. This blogging thing makes us trust people more easily. We know what goes on in their lives, they know what goes on in our lives. We meet up once or twice and presume we are friends. We SMS and MSN and we assume that what was said is confidential. Apparently not, as some people are not trustworthy. Not only do they blab what you tell them, they post it for the whole world to see and sometimes they twist the stories. This wasn't only from my experience, but I have heard of many cases from other bloggers. Sigh. The complexities of life really do wear one down. I'm tired of blogging and certain bloggers. It's not you, it's me. It's over. This blog will be taken down in two days. Please remove your link to my blog. It was fun while it lasted. I took comfort in the fact that someone else at the other end of the world was probably tossing and turning in his bed too - Steven Gerrard. Tsk tsk, I had really wanted Liverpool to win. Hey, I finally found the song "Once in a Lifetime", but it's Sarah Brightman's version. My er... sister had the er.. original CD all along and so I borrowed it from her. Yup, that's what I did. And nope, I'd never download the MP3 because we should all support original music and try to put an end to piracy. Earlier, I opened my inbox and there were 30+ emails. Most of the junk email I received were porn links to moms! Wet moms, creamy moms, hot moms, dripping moms... I mean, jeez, define porn with moms in them? Will there be a baby crying in the background while she's shagging away? Or will the baby be suckling her?

Most of all, I've learnt that posts with the C word in it can garner many many readers cos my hits increased by 20% this weekend. Aiya! I will not mention the C word here again, because as much as I like having readers, I'd prefer to keep a low profile. I will try to be more boring from now on and very much less controversial. I am cranky today because I didn't get to go to the gym. I miss working out, but my back prohibits that as it's still aching. I went to Balaclava last night for a pint of Hoegaarden. The Hoegaarden's really good there because it's on tap, unlike most of the pubs here which serve you bottled Hoegaarden. It was a bit flat (most beers on tap are so), but so cold and refreshing. One downside is that the drinks are expensive. $13 per half pint not cheap you know! Luckily I was there during happy hours though, so I got a pint for $13. After that, we headed to Zee 10 for the first time ever. I heard Zoe Tay opened this place? It had a big screen TV and comfy couches for you to lounge around in. The music's really good too - George Michael, Enigma and Gregorian. Great to hang out with your pals. Can someone please send me the Gregorian song or give me the title? It's that really nice one... ugh... I cannot remember the title, but it was famous once upon a time. Before midnight, we were yawning and left just after midnight. I felt old, especially when I saw my ex colleague there (past 50 years old), wallking past while energetically talking to her pals. I hope I'll still be having a good time when I'm past 50. Update: Ok ok, my last words on the previous topic. Please see Mr. Migs' post about the issue to learn a bit about some of the laws in Singapore. So don't come and give me crap about how I made a big deal out of the issue because what he did WAS against the law. If it's not a big deal, then why is it an offence in the Penal Code huh? So ladies, if ever this happens to you, tell the perv that you will charge him under sect 13B of the Misc. Offences Act Chap. 184 or sect 509 of the Penal Code. Do remember to pronounce Penal properly though. |W|P|110950195477961766|W|P|Weekend's Almost Over|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/27/2005 07:14:00 PM|W|P|Blogger None|W|P|where's zee10? i never heard of it...maybe im a little sua-ku.

I wish I had the sense to.2/27/2005 02:11:00 PM|W|P|FF|W|P|Are all of you sick of the cleavage issue yet? I am, but I read with much annoyance Platypus' post. Read it and perhaps you'll be annoyed too. "But FF, you were out drinking, talking about cleavage, with your mammaries on proud display for the world. You didn’t have them on display for yourself, unless you are a self-obsessed, self preening little feline, you had your cleavage on display for guys to look. So he looked. (The photos were wrong. But don’t you think your reaction is a little finicky?)" Who are you to presume things? You were not there, and you assumed so many things to make your blog entry more interesting. Well, here are the facts: 1) I was out drinking yes. And I may have said I was joking about cleavages or something, but I just called Kitten to ask him what I was joking about because I cannot for the life of me remember. And the conclusion was, I MADE NO JOKES ABOUT CLEAVAGES and the fella just started snapping away. I had thought I must have said something about cleavages to warrant such odd behavior, but I DID NOT. And even if I did, the most lewd cleavage comment I would make in the presence of A COMPLETE STRANGER would be that girls' cleavage sizes drop when they start working out a lot. Oh, that wasn't a joke was it? But that is the furthest I would go. 2) My mammaries were on proud display for the world? Hmmm, kinda hard considering I was wearing the non-exposing Tshirt (which I had to dig out from my laundry basket, hence the creases) below:
Shirt
Wah, this shirt made me my mammaries nearly pop out. I so deserved to have pictures of my cleavage taken. I am such a slut in this shirt! But hey, surprise surprise! The most you can see when I wear this shirt is a slight hint of cleavage. Or even not. I promise to wear a tudung and baju kurung the next time I go out. But even, if I talked about cleavages or had my mammaries on show, that does not give you the right to think that just because I did, perhaps I deserved what I got. And Migs, if a girl comes over drunk to your house, would you take advantage of the situation? No right? Because you know how to behave. Inappropriate behaviour does NOT have to beget inappropriate behaviour. We are all people who have morals and ethics and talking about cleavages or wearing sexy clothes is not inappropriate behaviour. Oh one more!! "And I really can't help but wonder if the guy had been "handsome, over 170cm, over 70kg and earned more than 3K a month" would the story have been different. " How did you know he wasn't over 170cm, over 70kg and earned more than 3K a month? Perhaps he's all that and if he is, are you implying that I wouldn't have minded his photo taking? It's MCPs like you who make the world a nasty place to live in. You really should be ashamed of yourself. Edit: No more talk about cleavages please! I will hantam anyone who breathes the C word to me again. |W|P|110948651962367290|W|P|Strikes Back|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/27/2005 12:41:00 AM|W|P|FF|W|P|...when I said I need a break from guys. There are many instances when I regret not doing something. Today was one of them. I was at Taka waiting for my friend to pick me up when I had to pee. So, off to the toilet I went. When I came out, I saw the most beautiful being surrounded by chicks. I was stunned and my reaction was to walk away coolly. I went up to wait at the second floor and deeply regretted not talking to the beautiful being. How could I walk away just like that? I mentally whacked myself. So I went back and talked to him. I swooned and nearly fainted. I asked him if I could take a picture with him and everybody laughed and he explained the joke to me saying the previous chick asked if she could take a picture of him and not with him so he just wanted to make sure. I know I'm being very teeny boppish, but I heart you.

Please refrain from posting funny posts in the next two days because laughter causes my muscle to tighten and it hurts like a bitch. My gf E came over and we had dinner at a coffeeshop nearby. Kitten came over to pick us up for beers at Baden. He brought his colleague along. I was very annoyed at his colleague because Kitten and I were joking around about cleavages or something or another and his colleague, whose name is [Name deleted] , blatantly took photos of my cleavage with his handphone. I couldn't believe someone I met for the very first time, would do such an idiotic thing. Upon my requests that he delete the goddamned pictures, he refused. grrrrrr2/26/2005 04:14:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Mr. G|W|P|Kitten :

Your argument is so ridiculously flawed that I am compelled to respond.

It boils down to one thing - respect. Your friend showed you a lack of respect by doing what he did to FF, and you showed a lack of respect to her by doing nothing, implying that you found his behavior acceptable. Ask yourself this, if it was your girlfriend or your sister he was taking pics of, would you still stick to your belief that you aren't responsible for his actions and do nothing to stop him?

And what if he didn't stop there and he started to harass her even more. (eventhough he already was) Are you gonna tell her "I'm sorry but i'm not responsible for his actions. Alright see ya next week!"

The bottomline here is you screwed up, the least you can do is admit it and apologize to her for it. People screw up all the time, its whether you make up for it thats what counts.3/02/2005 12:17:00 AM|W|P|Blogger Lam's Creation|W|P|Actually this falls under outrage of modesty, I think if you can find/engage a good lawyer, may be able to bring up a case against this $#@%^&* fella2/25/2005 01:09:00 PM|W|P|FF|W|P|People have been questioning my sweetness. I ooze sweetness ok?! Let me cite examples: Love Part 1 Soon after this event, it was his birthday. I was a poor student then, yet I rushed to Orchard from Tuas in a cab after work (was having my internship), bought him a lava lamp, a pair of shoes he really wanted and a ring that he really liked. I rushed to his place in a cab (town to extreme north) before he arrived home and hid the presents all over the house. When he got home, I made him go on a treasure hunt and he declared it was the best birthday he'd ever had. I was bankrupt the rest of the month, but it was worth it. Love Part 2 After this argument, I sent him a huge bouquet of a dozen red roses to his house and wrote in the card how sorry I am and how much I loved him and hoped he would forgive me. (I don't think he appreaciated the roses, but I'm sure he did the gesture and the thought) Love Part 3 His presents were a nice blue shirt, a Jap car magazine that I went looking for all over Melbourne and Sydney and a big box of goodies. And don't forget my $300 phone bill. Oh, and after I got back, he had lost a five figure amount in soccer, and I donated $2k to him. I even called up his mum to explain what happened and asked the mum not to be angry at him because he's very remorseful. You made me say it, what with that expectant look on your face after you said "I love you, FF. I really do." I couldn't bear to see a crestfallen look should I have kept quiet, so I said it. But I didn't mean it. Shortly after we got together, I went on a 2 week trip. You called me up a few times on my handphone saying you missed me. I called you many times from my handphone telling you I missed you. You didn't realise I was on roaming and my phone bill came up to $300 that month. I didn't care, because I missed you. You didn't care because you're you. It didn't affect you, so you didn't care. You emailed me saying you missed me. I emailed you back saying I missed you. I asked you what you wanted me to buy from there. You should have said "Nothing, just enjoy yourself and come home soon". You said "Please get me foglight covers for my car". I didn't know it fucking fogs in Singapore. I arrived back in Singapore on a Wednesday night about 11pm. You said you couldn't make it to the airport because you had to sleep early cos you had work the next day. I said "Go to sleep baby, I don't want you to be tired the next day". You went to sleep. I took a cab home. The next night you came over and I handed you all your presents. You looked at me and said "I love you". I looked at you and said "Thank you". On MSN, he said something or another and I told him I'm not the sentimental type and I throw away most of my love letters. Why, he asked? Because it's over... what's the point in remembering? But our memories are very powerful tools, which cannot be controlled. There are moments I look back at and frown because they're not worth remembering. Yet, I remember. There are moments I look back at and smile, because they're oh so worth remembering. You know how some people have done extraordinary things for you and you know no one else in the world would do the same thing for ya? I think it'd be nice for me to record some of my love moments here. *clears throat* Many years ago, I was an unreasonable biatch. I really don't understand how this happened, but when I got angry, my heart would turn into stone. We got into a bad argument once and I was mad as hell. At about 8pm, I was sitting in my room when I got an sms saying "I'm downstairs. Please let me know when you've cooled down. I'm sorry". I looked out of my window and saw him sitting at the void deck. He waved at me, I gave him the finger and shut the window. 2 hours later, I looked down and he was still sitting there. My gf, E, commented how mean I was. I brushed it aside saying he deserved it. Soon after, I went to sleep. Throughout the night, I kept waking up every few hours to check if he was down there. I took comfort in seeing him at my void deck. He looked tired. I went back to sleep. The next morning, I awoke and looked down. He wasn't there. Oh well. I got dressed and headed out the door to uni. There he was sitting outside my door, unshaven and visibly tired. Yet, he put on a cheerful front and handed me my favourite packet of milo from the coffeeshop opposite. "Here you go, sweetie. Let me send you to class. Please don't be angry anymore". I wasn't angry anymore, and that was the bestest Milo I'd ever tasted. |W|P|110908772906814277|W|P|Love Part 1|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/23/2005 01:12:00 AM|W|P|Blogger Unknown|W|P|nice to know there are also others like me, do this kind of thing. They were convinced I'd be raped, molested or brainwashed into becoming a prostitute. Something along those lines ya know? Parents. Sheesh. But anyhow, I didn't listen to my parents and a few months back, I met Woof for the first time at NYDC at the Heeren. I was with PP and I thought he was very brave, coming to meet two complete strangers. Also, my fears about meeting strangers were unfounded as he's a really nice guy and very very harmless. Last weekend, I met Tetanus for the first time too. The meeting place was supposed to be at Lido at 9:15pm, but because of the goddamned Chingay preview, I was late because I had to make a big detour from the MRT (btw, cabs refused to bring me into Orchard Road). I hate taking trains, I hate crowds and I hate being late, so I was all hot and flustered. Fortunately, we weren't late for the movie at all. We then went prostitute watching at Orchard Towers. Tet's a very nice guy and absolutely harmless too. The movie spared us from all possible awkward conversations a first meeting could possibly hold. I've also met Mr. Migs a couple of times because he's PP's friend. My memory of Mr. Migs goes back as far as 1998 when he picked PP and I up at god knows where and sent me to god knows where. He doesn't remember this though, and I barely remember that meeting except he was very quiet (I was very quiet too because I had a raging fever) and he was bald (I like bald men, very sexy ie, shaved bald not naturally bald). So anyhow, which blogger have you met up with before and what was the first meeting like? Edit: And by the way, I just want to let you know that when my status on MSN says "Busy", I really am busy. He called me many times and I'd just pick up the phone and hang up. He never stopped calling. I then got my colleague to answer the phone and she told him I was busy. I told her to add that I'd be busy the next two years so he can call me after that. He said ok and hung up. Most guys would be embarassed right? Not our dear Mr. Fansy. The next day, he called me up again. This time I answered and asked him to please stop calling because he's bloody irritating. To my horror, he actually sounded dumbfounded and asked me, "Are you sure I'm irritating? I don't think I am". I screeched, "You're fucking irritating, stop calling me!!!!!!!!!!". He said ok and hung up. I have not heard from him since. But now, I present to you - Mr. Fansy No. 2! Our wonderful conversations are below. All this in a span of two days. Sigh. Saturday morning (through SMS) Bulb: Hey FF, my car got scratched, I'm so unlucky, what should I do? FF: Wear red underwear. Bulb: Sure that will work? You free later? FF: No. No. Saturday night (through SMS) Bulb: Hey FF, you free now? FF: No. Saturday night (through phone) Bulb: What are you doing? FF: I'm out. Bulb: Oh then nvm. FF: Bye. Saturday night (through MSN) Bulb: Hey, I bet on soccer always lose. FF: Don't bet then. Bulb: You watching soccer? FF: Nope. Bulb: Can I come over and watch? FF: Nope. Late Saturday night (through SMS) Bulb: Are you sleeping? FF: Yes. Bulb: Tomorrow want to go to JB? FF: No. Bulb: Oh, I was just joking. Yesterday evening (through SMS) Bulb: Want to eat? FF: No. Yesterday night (through MSN despite my busy status) Bulb: What are you doing? FF: Playing game. Bulb: :) I won't disturb you then. FF: Bye. Today (through SMS) Bulb: People say this movie is very good. It's called Constantine. Shall we go watch together? FF: Watched. Not good. I love her so much that i cannot stand you talking to dat CB). You can verbally abuse her, but once in a while must be able to sweet-talk her til she kena diabetes. Each time you are fark-up to her or to others, the more she appreciates the "nice" you.

On the fifth day of CNY, I threw my rascal's ball for her to fetch, it hit the mirror and the mirror crashed on the groud with a loud "Piaaaaaaaannnnngggggggg!!". The day after that, my light covering fell to the ground and broke into a million pieces. Remind me to wear my red underwear tomorrow for luck. When I was in the police station yesterday, there was an old lady ahead of me talking to the policeman. I was so pissed off to hear she'd been a victim of snatch theft. A young Malay boy had snatched her handbag when she came out of the lift. Has he no shame?!! The policeman asked her to describe what happened, but the poor lady barely remembered anything. She didn't remember what he was wearing, which hand he used to snatch the bag, facial features or size. That's why assholes rob old ladies. I wish he'd rob me so I could punch him hard hard (learnt alot from my kickboxing class you know) or uppercut his chin and kick his balls damn hard so much so they get lodged in his throat. |W|P|110895228166635486|W|P|Blimey|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/21/2005 10:22:00 AM|W|P|Blogger JellyGirl|W|P|That's precisely why they wouldn't rob you, cos they know you'd kick their asses! My aunt went Malaysia some time ago with her friends and they were driving when suddenly like the tire punctured. They got down and didn't know what to do (all middle aged aunties) then this guy approached them and offered to help them. They got down from the car and the guy was fixing the tire.

Then suddenly a motorbike dashed past and took the handbag left in the car by one of my auntie's friend. Then the guy helping them also drove off.

Then they call for professional help. Then towed their truck and discovered a tiny tube pierced into their tire.

No prizes for guessing who blew that into their tire.2/21/2005 01:30:00 PM|W|P|Blogger CatWoman|W|P|Oh FF teenage boys have no shame at all. Sometimes, when I'm done, I'd wish on the star that I was happy, that I was rich, or that I'd be in love. I'm sure some of you do it too. Just now, I was standing by the window in the kitchen getting some fresh air when I saw that same star again. In my head, I recited the rhyme above, but when it came to making a wish, I had nothing to wish for! Despite my lost wallet, the stunts my lousy ex housemate pulls on me, lousy customer service, etc., I just realised there's nothing I can't take in my stride. I was so tired (from 2 aerobics classes, heavy dinner, rummaging through a This Fashion mega sale and the travelling), that I left my wallet in the cab. I was so tired I don't even remember what colour the cab was. The Bug called me today and I told him I lost my wallet. He said "Oh, hey, I lost a lot of money playing blackjack yesterday. Why am I so sibei suay (darned unlucky)?" My colleague called me today and I told her I lost my wallet. She said "Oh no, hey, the pipe under my sink is spoilt too." Nobody loves me. Sob. So, anyhow, I am poor now. I have no access to the meagre amount of cash I have in the bank, my credit cards have been blocked by myself and I have about 10 bucks in my piggy bank. He listened sympathetically, making the occasional appropriate ooh and ahh responses, and then asked for my credit card number, name, IC no., old address and new address. This took me a hefty 3~5 minutes. This, while walking in the hot sun in my gym sweater. Then, the polite young man told me that I had to call card services because he's not from card services. *Furious silence* What the heow? Me: Why didn't you tell me from the start that you're not in charge of card services? Him: Oh, I just needed to know what happened and note down all your details. I'll pass you to card services now. Me: So you're telling me I have to explain all this again to someone else? (I was getting more agitated with each syllable) Him: Yes. Me: Fine. Maybe it was because the movie was mostly about religion, Lucifer, Gabriel and God, which I have no interest in? Whatever it was, the movie was draggy and I'm not a big fan of Keanu. I am fucking angry as hell. Remember the ex housemate of mine? Truth be told, he's supposed to be my good friend because we've known each other since our first year of uni. But, with friends like him, I honestly don't need enemies. Last month, before we moved out completely of our old house, he owed all of us about $400 worth of unpaid bills. He refused to pay on grounds that he didn't have enough and it took a good scolding from me in front of my housemates before he reluctantly coughed up the money. Then he begged me to lend him my old hp for awhile and out of the goodness of my heart, I very reluctantly lent him my old hp (Nokia 8250). Now, he refuses to answer my phone calls or return my calls. He replied one of my smses yesterday about going for dinner with one of our mutual friends who's leaving Singapore for good, but nothing about the phone. No, he probably won't go for the dinner. I don't understand how someone who's my age can act so irresponsibly? Which should I do: 1) Call his father (I have the number) and ask him to get my fucking phone back 2) Go to the house with a baseball bat and a big sized guy friend of mine to get my fucking phone back 3) Call the police and have him arrested to get my fucking phone back 4) Murder him and throw him in Clarke Quay after I get my fucking phone back 5) Cut off his privates and feed it to Ah Meng at the zoo after I get my fucking phone back??!!! |W|P|110877681831157151|W|P|I Hate Guys|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/19/2005 10:24:00 AM|W|P|Blogger CatWoman|W|P|God what a wanker! He just is such a child.Yes these people exist in droves. They never change & don't ever lend him anything again. If he asks, tell him you lent it/sold it to someone already. They're people like this in every nation on Earth!Get used to them. They're flighty airheads who can't get their act together. They're not dumb people, just not "With the programme".It happens.2/19/2005 02:58:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Mandrake|W|P|don't insult 18 years old or Ah Meng. SMS him, tell him if he doesnt return the phone by the end of the week you are going to call his house and ask his dad for it.

2. If he doesn't reply, call his dad and ask for your 'friend'. If hes not around or doesn't wanna answer, tell his dad that you been trying to contact him but he isn't answering your calls. Tell his dad that he borrowed your phone and is refusing to give him back, and ask him if he could kindly ask his son to let you know by tommorow when he can return it.

3. If no answer the next day, call house again and repeat step 2. Repeat this daily until they feel paiseh enough to give it back.

This is what I did when my cousin refused to give me back the money he owed from me for more than a year and ignored my calls and smses.

I got the money back from his parents. When it comes to this kinda things you have to be thick-skinned, cos those people don't know shame. So you have to go down to their level.

Thanks for the advice y'all!2/18/2005 08:52:00 AM|W|P|FF|W|P|After reading Ms. Powerpuff's post and one of the forwarded emails Tetanus sent to me (please see the More more more! section), I have decided.... I do not want to get married anytime soon for the following reasons: 1) My longest relationship was 2 years and a bit. What makes me think I can commit the rest of my life to one person? 2) I have not found anyone who's even remotely close to someone I want to spend the rest of my life with 3) I don't want kids, so that's one reason less for me to get married (Having a dog is more than enough for me - no answering back, no borrowing your car or draining your wallet) 4) I have not enjoyed my life enough yet 5) I haven't saved enough money to pay for the bloody wedding ceremony 6) I can't even find myself a boyfriend, much less a husband Marriage is portrayed as being exciting and fun in movies. It's a frigging conspiracy I tell you! They just want us to procreate for the continuation of the human population! I lived with an ex for two whole years. After a few months, the passion died down, the arguments and the misery started, so much so we couldn't stand being around each other and broke up soon after. But I have to remember how my uncle was adamant about not getting married as well, even more so than me. Then, he met this lovely lady and married her within four months of knowing her. And you know what they say about who says she doesn't want to get married will be the first to get married, so I better shut my trap! The choice of a marriage partner should not be based on "I get a warm, wonderful feeling whenever we're together and I want to have that warm wonderful feeling forever, so let's go get married". Feelings,as we have discussed, have no logic on their own. They need to be acknowledged, of course, but they need considerable assistance from your brain. Marriage means choosing the person you will spend the rest of you life with. This, as you may have guessed, is a very long time to spend with one person. This person will live with you, eat meals with you, sleep with you, and go on vacation with you. More important yet, this person will share your children. You need to choose wisely. The decision should not be made based on feelings alone. You need to ask yourself some tough questions.! The decisions have to be made on solid considerations. Will this person be a good partner? Is she mature enough to put her own selfish desires aside to look out for what is best for the family? Is he prepared to be a good provider? What is his track record? Is he responsible enough to get a good job and keep it? Will this person be a good parent? Can you stand the thought of your children turning out exactly like this person? They will, you know. Children spend a lot of time with their parents and consequently pick up many or most of their parents' character traits. You had better like your spouse's traits a lot because you will be seeing them again in your children. If something were to happen to you, would you completely trust this person, alone, with the task of raising and forming your children? This is not a pleasant thought, but it is an important consideration. Not everyone dies at a ripe old age with great grandchildren gathered around the bed. Sometimes a parent dies and leaves young children in the care of the other parent. If you feel that you would need to be around to correct or lessen this person's influence on your children, then you are considering the wrong person. Does this person share your faith in God? God does not give us children so that we can mold them into the coolest, most popular people in school. Our job is to get them to heaven. To do that, we need to raise them believing in God and in His Church. It is tough to do that if only one parent believes. Saying "this is right and this is wrong, and I want you to ignore Mommy until you are thirty-five" does not work. Small children ask about eight skillion questions in a single day. The answers to those questions go a long way toward forming the kind of adults they will become. Who will be answering those questions for your children? Does t! his person you are marrying have sexual self-control? Single people sometimes have this idea that marriage is just some kind of lifelong sex festival and that as long as they have each other, they will never be tempted by other people. Wrong! There are many times in every marriage when one partner or the other is sexually unavailable? There are also times when spouses, just get on each others nerves. At times like this, other people can seem very appealing. That can be dangerous, because there are plenty of very attractive people out there who are willing to make them available to married men and women. Do you want someone who has never said "no" to sex? If he is not good at saying "no" at eighteen, it won't be different at forty. Do you want to worry about whether or not your spouse is being faithful? What kind of marriage can you have with someone you couldn't trust on a business trip? These are very important questions, and if you are not comfortable with all of the answers, you should definitely not marry this person. None if this is to say that feelings play no role at all in a marriage decision. You don't have to, "Well, I suppose that you would make a good spouse and parent, so even though I don't particularly like you I guess I'll marry you'. You need to be happy and excited about the prospect of spending your life with someone. Your brain however must acknowledge that this person as a good catch. Don't listen to your heart alone or your head alone. Wait until your heart and head agree. "Love is not about finding the right person, but creating a right relationship. People always jump in willy nilly with no thought or planning. They often have babies first without first even saving money or having a home. Then the fuck ups lean on their parents, siblings, relatives & friends 2 bail them out of their debts.People marry or have live in r/ships, have kids, divorce, split up end up in the poor house & live like miserable cranky bastards & make the rest of us miserable with their foul moods cause they couldn't practice birth control. Or they couldn't keep their partner from racking up charges on their credit cards, which they'll be paying off until 2015. People just sometimes don't know how to do "IT" right. You FF seemed to at least HAVE A CLUE as to how to do "IT" right. You're ahead of the game. At least you know what being in a marriage involves and the commitment that comes with it.

I think many people don't do that or put enough though into getting married to someone.

Cour>> Yeah, but you know how much those wedding banquets cost! And I can't possibly not have one (even tho i'd much rather not) because must give face to my hubby's parents bla bla bla.. you know how old folks are.

By the time I woke up, it was 9:55pm and he had left 5 smses on my handphone. What time are we meeting? At dinner at Prima now. Hello?? Helloooooooooooo?? Sleeping ar?! Sleepingggggggggg???? Whoopsie doo. Brought him to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay instead. He brought his colleague to introduce to me because he had mentioned earlier that he was cute and I wanted to see a cute Malaysian guy for once. Harrrlooooo? Which part was cute? The bad Ingris, the tubbiness, the shortness or the weird jaw? I mentioned this before in my old blog that guys are stupid when it comes to judging whether their guy friends can make it or cannot make it. I have realised, a guy will always say his buddies are hamsem and will never say they're ugly as fuck. For example, The Bug intro'd me to his friend so that I could intro his friend to my girlfriend (who's pretty and speaketh good Ingris). The Bug said his friend is damn cute, well off, smart and well spoken. LIAR!! His friend was shorter than me, Ingris cannot make it and ugly as fuck. There was also something wrong with his eyes, because my two sisters, who were present during the introduction, couldn't stop giggling. It looked like he was wearing eyeliner or kohl or something but The Bug insisted it was thick eyelashes. So the next time a guy friend of mine wants to introduce me to his oh-so-hamsem-funny-rich-well spoken guy friend, thy shalt not believe him. |W|P|110860281280094100|W|P|Cute friend? Our first stop was Marche, where we had soft shell crab tempura, rusti and cheese sausages. Then, we went to Balaclava for a pint of beer. I asked him to check out the Singaporean chicks and he said "Ugh, once you've seen Penang chicks, other chicks cannot compare". Ahem. I beamed cos you all know where I'm from. He made an observation that typical Singaporean chicks mostly look alike - overplucked eyebrows, overmade face, skinny, no hips, tight tank top and jeans. We headed to dbl O where we had vodka orange and shooters and more beer. B-52s, Quick Fucks and Illusions are the best shooters I've tasted. Forget tequila shots, which taste like shit and make your tummy feel really hot. I giggled when he ordered a Quick Fuck. It really doesn't take much to amuse me. I got home past 2am and puked all my rusti and sausages out, so much so I clogged the sink. Yes, ewwwwww. Why didn't I use the toilet bowl? Cos I didn't know I'd puke so much lah! :P2/13/2005 10:57:00 PM|W|P|FF|W|P|Happy Valentine's Day my lovely ones! Many of us singles may curse Saint Valentine for inflicting emotional and psychological trauma, but curse no more, because I will tell you the history of Valentine's Day and I'm sure you will empathise with the poor soul. Click on "More more more!" for the story. See! If you can still curse the kind soul who fought for marriages of young horny men, then you don't deserve to be loved! And as usual, I asked some people to define love in one sentence: Tetanus: love is the warmth that wraps around the winter in my heart Mr. Miyagi: love is the irresistable desire to be irresistably desired (Robert Frost) My gf E: love is nothing but a crazy n powerful energy that affects animals My sis Banana: love is mummy making apple tarts just for me when i ask her to My friend Mike: love is like the feeling u get before u get drunk Me: love is when rascal pees and poos all over the house and I don't get mad, I just spank her Anyway, I decided to take a day off from work tomorrow and will be going to the gym and will brave disgusting roses carrying couples tomorrow and watch Constantine on my own. Good luck to me! One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France. |W|P|110831032996460563|W|P|Happy V-Day!|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/14/2005 02:09:00 AM|W|P|Blogger CatWoman|W|P|Happy Valentines Day.

After all, I only lived there for 2 1/2 years my whole life. I only call it my hometown because my parents are from there. Things change so quickly. Many of my favourite haunts from the time I lived there are long gone. I no longer see familiar faces when I go out, my favourite laksa stall has moved (great that we're no longer squatting by the side of the drain to slurp our laksa... but still...), my favourite ice kachang stall no longer makes good ice kachang, the clubs I used to frequent have been replaced with new ones. If it wasn't of the presence of my family, I doubt I'd ever go back. The realisation of it all saddened me. Singapore's now my home. I've lived here longer than anywhere else I've lived since I was a kid. I was a little nomad, always saying goodbye to friends and familiar places to move on to greener pastures. No more, because this is where I'll be for most of the rest of my life. And I'm relieved that I have this control over my life now. CNY was great as usual. I like meeting up with relatives once a year and realise how much people change in the span of one year. My once baby cousins are now grown men. We used to play blackjack with 5 and 10 cent coins, now we're playing in the tens of ringgit. The annoying questions did crop up, but only from my cousin, who finally got herself a boyfriend, which seems to give her the right to question me about my love life, or lack thereof. They weren't just the standard questions I normally get - they were uncomfortably probing and it irked me. She: Got boyfriend? Me: No. She: Why not? Me: I date a lot of guys casually, but I haven't found the right one. She: How come? Me: I don't know. She: So any potential ones? Me: I suppose got one or two. She: Who? Me: Oh, if I named them, would you know them? She: No, but you can describe them. Me: I need to shit now. |W|P|110822734691283127|W|P|Home Sweet Home|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/13/2005 03:07:00 AM|W|P|Blogger The Unknown|W|P|Gong Hi Fatt Choi sweets.2/13/2005 03:39:00 AM|W|P|Blogger CatWoman|W|P|HEY FF! I can't believe how unfit I am because my whole body is aching now. 5.5km/hr on the treadmill for half an hour got my calves and thighs aching. Stop sniggering! I'm just a beginner. I don't regret spending that kind of money because I seldom pamper myself with lavish and expensive stuff. It's high time too! Just a short note to GJ who is nursing a broken heart now. One piece of advice from the very wise FF is that you have to remember - no chick is ever worth your tears, much less your life. I always tell myself no guy is worth my tears and no guy will ever be worth half my life. I haven't cried over a guy in so long, I swear, I will marry the next guy who makes me shed tears. Maybe I'm incapable of feeling what GJ does, maybe I'm cold hearted, but this is how I conditioned myself to be. And it's gotten me where I am today just fine. |W|P|110769355099886225|W|P|What Becomes of the Brokenhearted?|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/06/2005 08:58:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Darren|W|P|You can try cry for me.2/06/2005 10:24:00 PM|W|P|Blogger Jayaxe|W|P|Don't tell me you've joined the California Gym. xoxo Jank2/04/2005 09:37:00 AM|W|P|FF|W|P|I found out from a reliable source that The Bug asked his ex girlfriend whether they had a chance to be together, because he's ready to settle down now and wanted to know where he stood with her cos he still has feelings for her after so many years. I was thinking "Jolly good for him that he knows what he wants". Then, he called me last night and said the exact same thing to me. Then he asks, why can't we be together again? We were good together, and we'll be great together if you would just stop being a pain in the ass girlfriend. I snorted. The arrogance of him to think that the trouble in our past relationship lay with me. ********** Yesterday, K brought me out for lunch. Do you remember K? It was quite a few months back when I went out with him. I thought he had feelings for me then, but when I went out with him yesterday, he was a completely different person! Guys ah, when the are chasing after you, they're so nice, but when they know they have no chance, they treat you differently. Hypocrites! *********** The two stories of mine above makes me wanna have an anti Valentine party. We can play "Pin the dick on the cupid".

Did you know bloggers gossip in blogging land too? For example, I sort of expressed mild potential interest in one of the bloggers (let's call him X). I told a fellow blogger (let's call him CC) about X and the next thing I know, PP (who hails all the way from Australia) asked me, "Hey, I heard you went out with X!". I was seriously dumbfounded. All I did was express mild potential interest in X to CC (who's in Singapore) and the PP (who has never met CC in her whole life) told me the gossip is that I dated X. Ha ha ha. When bloggers and I meet, we talk mostly of other bloggers and what they've been up to. I suggest if you talk to other bloggers in real life, be careful what you say because news travels real fast in blogging land. |W|P|110739707656377587|W|P|Blog Gossip|W|P|ms.finicky@gmail.com2/03/2005 11:31:00 AM|W|P|Blogger Zen|th|W|P|There's gossip even in blogging land too?

One exception is Indian Stallion who seems to be engaged to someone whose name he cannot remember. Lucky bastard. At least I know though that all is not lost for me. Yesterday, Bulb actually invited me out for dinner on Valentine's day. Two weeks in advance yo! Too bad he SMSed me the invite or I might have said yes. Then again, nah. I'd much rather spend the lonesome day with my rascal than someone I don't have feelings for. I griped about the fact that I'd be alone on Vday to Tetanus and as usual, he had something passionate to say about it, which went along the lines on how it's an overrated day and love should be shown everyday and not just one day a year. I agree with him totally and I think we can all concur that the only people who gain from this over-commercialised day are the florists and chocolate shop owners.
